I really had enough after this because it just gave such an awful after pain because they kept trying to put it in. It has left bruise.
It didn't help that I couldn't eat anything either from 7am.
I then had to go for my pet scan which required me to have some fluid put in my line for markers so they could get a clear picture of any abnormal cancerous cells.
I shall be told the stage of my cancer on Monday.
I didn't really enjoy the waiting around.. I had to wait an hour laying down for the dye stuff to settle in the body.. This did make me fall asleep which was nice.
I then went into a polo shape machine called a CT scan. That wasn't so bad apart from having to put my arms up which made me ache a little.
I then felt a bit special because I was then taken to have a pet MRI scan and these machines are very rare. Only 10 around so it was quite cool that I was asked to have an extra scan. This scan gives a good picture of any cancer around and gives you the best stage and helps with the treatment doses.
I have found this day very emotional. Now the line is in I know this is final preparation for Monday. I really advise anyone who is going through these scans that they have people with them and they stay strong. It is hard to feel strong and happy because they are so boring and also it does make you feel a bit upset knowing these scans are all because of the cancer.
Cancer is such a big thing when you have it because the only way you can get on with life is by making sure you are healthy and the cancer is gone!
It is also hard as a teenager to stay happy all the time.
I do feel brave because I know so many people wouldn't of been able to handle the picc line and the day in general.
