I haven't updated my blog in so long but thought I would start! I have done so much in 9 months in terms of recovering and different things.
I am competely better now and my hand is all normal again. I am able to do normal things like I used to which is amazing!!
On February 9th I set off to Florida for my wish of swimming with dolphins which was absolutely amazing!!! I had the best time and swimming with the dolphins on my 19th birthday on the 10th was a dream come true. The starlight children's charity are so lovely and I am so thankful to them for granting me this wish :)
Since February until now I've just been back to work and trying my best to have fun again. I have just recently returned back from the IOW on an Ellen Macarthur sailing trip which was just so much fun and I've made life long friends.
I have sadly lost a friend on the way of my recovery, Shannon. She was just such a kind person and I do feel I've lost another part of me. I am doing do the race for life this Saturday in memory of her and she already knew I was doing it for her. I've also been asked to say a few words about my journey on stage - so scary! But I know I can do it for her and Stephen Sutton. I am also starting the race! So many good opportunities are happening since Cancer and I am hoping it'll help people.
It's been an odd year but I am now at the end and near the one year remission mark. I continue to recover and stay positive for those fighting and who are not here! I am due back to college in September so life will start to feel normal again when I have so much coursework and limited time!
Shall post again soon :)
